Ruby Kenny fronts POLAT, an alt-indie-rock band that’s all about the feels and the energy. Groovy slap bass lines paired with whiny melodic guitar riffs, raw, loud vocals, and gorgeous drums leave you feeling insatiable after a set. POLAT are like if a whinier, angrier version of Blondie and Queens of the Stone Age had a fight that was recorded right from the ring walks. Their mission is to create deadly serious music while maintaining a silly and whimsical attitude toward themselves. Hailing from Sheffield and already featured in MxDwn, Kickdrum Magazine, Calluna Music and Maste Project. POLAT look forward to bringing their performances, which have led to cult adoration in Sheffield, to the rest of the U.K., with dates scheduled in London and Leeds as well as their home town to celebrate the release of their debut EP "Something The Cat Dragged In". Preceded by its two singles, POV and Carnival, it is already garnering huge excitement behind the scenes... POLAT are: Ruby Kenny (vocals), Joey Pollard (guitar), Himmat Sidhu (bass and vocals), and Kit Searle (drums) Prepare your ears for much, much more.
