Police Dog Hogan came together in 2009 in a Shepherds Bush basement and swiftly grew into the 7 headed joy machine that has wowed audiences in the UK, France, Greece and the USA. 2026 is set to be very busy year with a new LP, their seventh studio album, on it’s way. It’s called ‘The Light At The Top Of The Stairs’ and will be released on April 10th 2026. It can be pre-saved on this most excellent platform. The LP will be supported by an extensive UK spring tour. Often described as ‘pop music with all the wrong instruments’ they straddle the worlds of Folk, Country and Americana without fitting neatly into any one of them. The sonic stew cooked up by Fiddle, Trumpet, all manner of guitars, piano, organ, accordion, mandolin, bass and drums lends itself to knock out Festival appearances. They have played amongst others Cropredy, Glastonbury, Cornbury, Shrewsbury Folk Festival, Sidmouth, Latitude, Black Deer, Wickham & Deer Shed. They have sold out the Shepherds Bush Empire, Cadogan Hall, the Union Chapel and the Clapham Grand in recent years. Their song ‘Devon Brigade’ was shortlisted for AMAUK song of the year in 2018.
Police Dog Hogan blends folk, country, and Americana, often described as "pop music with all the wrong instruments" due to their diverse acoustic instrumentation.
