Real Terms
Formed in 2017 following the dissolution of their previous incarnation, Vasco Da Gama, the trio’s intention with Real Terms was to take the intricate, staccato, highly rhythmic best of their old sound and transcend what they saw as the limitations of the math-rock genre, injecting their material with a dose of pop songwriting structure and melody. The result was their well-received debut 2020 EP Housework, produced by David Berger (Outfit), which saw them marked out as ones to watch by PROG Magazine, Birthday Cake For Breakfast, The Math Rock Times, and Bido Lito Magazine. Whilst the pandemic put paid to live plans for a brief spell, in 2022 the band signed with Sofa Boy Records, the label run by renowned math rock band Delta Sleep.
