Ronja Polzin

Ronja Polzin is a multi-media artist based in Berlin. Starting with illustration and theatre then moving into video, photography, and performance art. Her studies at the Berlin University of the Arts enabled her to research how to blur the lines between the disciplines of her practice. Music is the newest medium, but the creative process remains fundamentally the same across all forms—simply using a different brush to make the same kind of marks. And no brush in the world is as beautiful as the one of the voice. Art was there, even in the darkest night. Play is the most immediate form of contact with life, a dance with what is outside the four thick walls of my house. It was these walls that I tried to starve, to starve the part of me that didn't fit inside the building. It never died. When I create, those walls become thinner until they become porous. So I create and create and create.
