An underground indie pop artist.
There’s always been something about a room full of people listening to the same song that feels a little bit magic. For Sam Fraser, that connection is at the heart of everything. An independent singer-songwriter from Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, he makes honest, intimate music about relationships, heartbreak and the complicated bits in between - songs designed to feel less like performances and more like conversations. That same feeling carries into his live shows: stripped-back, story-led and built around the idea that the best nights don’t need to be the biggest. Sometimes a voice, a piano or guitar, and a room willing to listen is enough. After some time away from releasing, Sam returned in 2026 with songs about what happens after a relationship ends - the guilt of leaving, learning to be alone again, meeting somebody new, and discovering that moving on rarely happens in a straight line. I’m Sorry began that story. Neither Do You picks it up further down the road, where meeting somebody new forces you to ask whether you were actually ready to move on. Previous releases have earned support from BBC Introducing, including Featured Artist, Producer’s Pick, an in-studio live session and radio play. But this chapter isn’t really about numbers. It’s about songs finding people, people finding each other, and seeing how far that connection can go.
