A homegrown, underground alternative pop artist.
save for later is the Brooklyn-based solo project of singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Garrett Cusack. Blending indie rock, dream pop, and jangle pop, the project pairs bright, melodic guitars with subtle synth textures and an ’80s-inspired sound filtered through early-2000s indie. Influenced by artists like The Smiths, R.E.M., The Cure, The Strokes, and LCD Soundsystem, save for later creates feel-good indie music that carries emotional weight. Since taking its current shape in 2021, the project has released nine singles and built a steady presence on the New York live circuit, performing at venues including Mercury Lounge, Arlene’s Grocery, and The Cutting Room. The debut EP "Mr. Melatonin" drops January 30th.
