Sematary Radio (Piracicaba - SP) began its activities in 2020, with post-punk as its main genre, but make no mistake: the band has been attracting fans from many different backgrounds. Bringing references to 80s pop clichés from the radio, in addition to the clear influence of bands like Joy Division, Bauhaus and Sisters of Mercy and even Ramones, as the name might suggest, it has a great chance of getting into your playlist if you take the risk of listening. After waking up from a dream where he hummed the song “A Corpus to Hide”, Chris, bassist and vocalist, took note of the feat. That same week he was recording the idea at the Esgoto studio, when I asked Djaco and Zeias for help recording guitar and drums, respectively. Thus the first song was created and the seed of what would become Sematary Radio was planted. Corpse to Hide opened Pandora's box, bringing out the main elements that would characterize the band's compositions: dark lyrics, simple and nostalgic sound and dancing rhythm.
