Shishani is an international, multi-award winning vocalist, guitarist & songwriter, who's versatality moves beyond genres & cultures. Loved for their smooth & powerful voice, Shishani's music is comforting yet has a strong social consciousness to it. Shishani has Namibian, Belgian & Dutch roots -bringing these worlds together in music. Their vocal style is influenced by African & Afro-American traditions, creating a truly unique sound. Shishani is founder of various productions: Namibian Tales (2015) celebrating Namibia's musical heritage; Shakuar (2016); Miss Catharsis (2019), voicing stories by women & nonbinary people of colour; Sisterhood (2021) highlighting shared heritage through colonial history between African, Asian & European artists. Shishani tours internationally, performing throughout Europe, Glastonbury Festival (UK), Afrika Festival Wurzburg (Germany), Amsterdam Roots Festival, Lake of Stars (Malawi) as well as in India, South Korea, China, Jordan, Russia, USA, Kenya & South Africa.
