Their shared history begins with their father, a Belgian psychiatrist who moved to southern Africa in the 1980s. Ernst developed as a jazz pianist in Europe while Shishani grew up in Namibia, absorbing local musical traditions. In Family Affair, they celebrate their shared roots and a family history deeply intertwined with music. Performing alongside the Ernst Vranckx Trio and special guest Hayden Chisholm, the group blends jazz and soul to honor the musical influences that shaped their lives.
