John Tchicai & Strange Brothers (w.Peter Danstrup - Ole Rømer), the New Jungle Orhestra, Jan Kaspersen (duo, quintet),N’uma Boa (Mozar Terra, Chuim), Atilla Engin, Nenê’s Band and with his own quartet w. Ben Besiakov, Jesper Lundgaard, Alex Riel. Moved to Paris in 1985 and performed w. Orchestra National de Jazz, Denis Badault, Andy Emler MegaOctet, Nguyên Lê, Quintet Moutin, Edouard Ferlet and also led his own groups w. Xavier Desandre, Mariane Bitran, Richard Bona, Bojan Z., Billy Hart, Franck Tortiller, Yves Torchinsky, Francois Laizeau… Back in DK in 1998 directing : ”Central Earth” (tentet), ”Rainbow Spirit” w. Dawda Jobarteh, Thomas Fonnesbaek, Ayi Solomon, ”5-tet” w.a.o Bob Rockwell, ”Ear Witness” w. Emil Spányi, Linley Marthe and Felix Sabal-Lecco (FR), ”Alisio Ensemble ” (octet), ”Brazilian Project”, (touring in BR and DK). TRIO w. He was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, and has also lived and performed extensively in Paris, France.
