Sofia Manousaki

Sofia Manousaki was born in Crete. At 18 years old she began an impressive career in the area of art music. She has performed over 400 concerts not only in Greece but also abroad (the Little Theatre of Ancient Epidaurus, Odeon of Herodes Atticus, Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, Frydyryk Chopin Academy of Music - Warsaw, Alhambra theatre - Paris, Cologne, Cairo Opera House, Bibliotecha Alexandrina, Bucharest) and has received enthusiastic reviews for the quality and maturity of her voice. She has already released two gold CDs where she performs the great works of Mikis Theodorakis, who has characterized Sophia as a megaton revelation. Korkolis’ latest album based on the poetry of the great C.P. Cavafy has been recently released featuring the excellent vocalist Sophia Manousaki as the key performer. This double CD also quickly went gold and received excellent reviews.
