A nostalgic pop artist.
Stan has developed a distinct sound inspired by electronic music and synthwave. He describes his music as “walking through a futuristic, Blade Runner-esque city at night where some parts shimmer, while others feel cold and isolated.” Drawing from artists like Depeche Mode, Imogen Heap and MARINA, his production blends nostalgia with a modern, cinematic edge. Lyrically, Stan is inspired by character-driven storytelling of Kate Bush and David Bowie. His debut EP, INTROSPECTATOR, established this approach. The title merges "introspection" and "spectator", reflecting his fascination with observing human behaviour while dissecting his own. Across the project, Stan transforms psychological ideas into vivid pop songs, including the satirical Je Ne Sais Quoi, the psychological Dopamine Beast (inspired by his background in neuroscience and study of addiction) and the philosophical Mercenary (which questions whether self-interest lies at the heart of human conflict). His latest single, Worth Less, pushes his sound further into hyperpop. Written about the experience of being neurodivergent and trying to make sense of people who suddenly change their opinions, values or the way they treat you without explanation, the song mirrors that uncertainty through relentless production, disorientating synths and moments of sensory overload. It's another example of Stan's fascination with translating complex inner experiences into cinematic, unapologetically catchy pop music.
