Stina Holmquist has crafted her own distinctive blend of indie and art pop, where lush, atmospheric soundscapes are repeatedly and unexpectedly pierced by bursts of raw energy. Together with her band, she creates hypnotic, almost breathless song structures that intertwine with vocally stunning escapades. In her songs, Stina tells stories deeply rooted in the traditions of pop music – yet rarely delivered today with such depth and poetic grace. Stina (Holmquist is the name of her Swedish grandfather) has already reached remarkable milestones on her short but intense musical journey: 150 live shows within just three years across Germany and neighbouring countries such as Warsaw, Zurich, and Vienna – including a support slot for major German indie acts Giant Rooks and Leoniden. She has performed at renowned festivals such as Reeperbahn Festival, Orange Blossom, Traumzeit, Juicy Beats, and most recently at WDR Rockpalast. She is a recipient of the Lalla:Labor newcomer award, took part in the national funding program Pop Camp, and was nominated as “Best Newcomer” for the PopNRW Award. In November 2025, Stina Holmquist releases her second EP, If All My Hopes Find Answers – produced by Alex Sprave (Fil Bo Riva) and Jochen Naaf (Giant Rooks) – followed by a tour in April/May 2026. “With this Rockpalast performance, Stina Holmquist once again proved that she’s an artist to watch – both as an enigmatic live performer and as an ambitious songwriter.” (Gästeliste.de)
