The Spanish-Swiss band Sunday,June crafts a brand of psychedelic pop that captures the light as much as it distorts it – a warm, nostalgic ‘solar psych’ with echoes of Beach House, Arcade Fire, Slowdive, or Still Corners. With melodies that linger without ever becoming overpowering, hazy layers, and sparkling guitars, the band deliberately prefers detours to straight lines, creating a world where the songs take their time to settle in, breathe, and leave their mark. With Sun Glitter and Other Reflections (2025), the band laid the foundations of its sound and began performing on stages across Switzerland and Europe. On 6 November 2026, Sunday,June will release its second album, Cinema, recorded at Chapel Studios in England with producer Andy Savours. The album marks a decisive step in the band’s evolution, revealing a sound that has matured and expanded. Whereas the first album drew on a sense of introspection, Cinema broadens the scope: more expansive, more organic, and more cinematic.
