TEMPTRIX is an enigmatic Texas darkwave project created by musician & vocalist Ashley Cantu. Since forming their new project in 2024, TEMPTRIX has completed 3 tours throughout the Southwest, Midwest and West Coast to promote their music and is set to release their first album in 2025 in collaboration with South Texas producer - Rudy Martinez. TEMPTRIX takes inspiration from the best of 1980’s industrial EBM, new wave, and post-punk, and aims to synthesize these elements with the vibes of early 2000’s electro femme artists such as Miss Kittin & Ladytron to create a wholly unique sound. TEMPTRIX thematically focuses on the subjects of emotional suffering and healing through the lense of the feminine gaze. The music attempts to highlight the importance of the universal human experiences we all encounter relating to love, mystery, desire, and grief.
