The Banger Factory burst on to the scene in 2021 and has rapidly established itself as a community where veterans of British jazz rub shoulders with young lions Founded by the charismatic trumpet player Mark Kavuma, The Banger Factory is an ensemble that quickly became a cradle for young, diverse, talent where each musician has a voice Through this visionary, new, label, Kavuma links young with old, established with emergent and stamps his own musical identity onto the myriad incarnations of jazz music. Kavuma’s aspiration for the label is that it will continue to inspire and empower communities, provide a platform for discovering new artists and up and coming musicians, and spread love and good vibes, ultimately shaping the future of music beyond genres, gender and borders.
