The Frozen Autumn is an Italian darkwave and cold wave band formed in Turin in 1993 by Diego Merletto. Merging melancholic vocals with atmospheric 1980s-style analog synthesizers, the project developed a distinctive synthetic sound. Later joined by Arianna (Froxeanne), the duo remains a defining pillar of European gothic-electronic underground music.
