The Glass Key are an alternative rock band from Glasgow, brought together by a shared love of honest songwriting and guitar music. Long-time friends Blain McEwan (vocals/guitar), Gavin Clark (guitar), and Scott Toner (drums) started playing together in 2022, eventually teaming up with bassist Russell Frew in 2023. While only playing a handful of local Glasgow gigs at Classic Grand and Stereo, they are still building a supportive following. Their debut single Stone the Crows was released Oct 25, offering a first glimpse into their upcoming 10-track album. Their sound draws inspiration from bands like Frightened Rabbit and The Boxer Rebellion, with songs that touch on themes like mental health, social unrest, and the stories we tell ourselves to get by.
