Purveyors of the world's finest Christmas songs since 2014. The Heathen And The Holy is the seasonal side project of Tom Hobden and Fred Abbott, best known as members of UK folk rock legends Noah And The Whale. Starting in 2014 they have released a Christmas song of the highest quality each year, roping in a cast of world-class musicians along the way to lend a hand. Their heart-warming compositions joyfully mix the profound with the puerile, the sincere with the silly, the truth with the trifle. In 2023 they released the album "Christmas Glory", compiling their first decade's worth of material onto one vinyl record. They also opened up about the journey behind the music in the documentary film "The Heathen And The Holy: 10 Years On", available to watch on youtube. But they have no intention of stopping there, as 2024's joyful offering "The Heavenly Host" proved. Their Christmas songs have become a much loved annual tradition amongst their fans, and come December they will be back! 🎄 THATH only make music and play shows in December.
