A high-energy, nostalgic ska punk act.
Formed in 1994, The Planet Smashers have become icons of the global ska-punk movement, known for their explosive live shows, tongue-in-cheek humour, and unwavering positivity. With over 30 million Spotify streams, a legacy of sold-out tours across North America, Europe, and Japan, and a discography that helped soundtrack a generation-from MTV’s Undergrads to Japanese cult favorite Catman-the band has maintained its status as ska royalty for more than three decades. Upcoming album, On the Dancefloor is a vibrant return to form, blending the band’s trademark upbeat sound with themes of love, rebellion, and resilience. Firmly rooted in the infectious rhythms of the 2Tone era, the album features 13 powerhouse tracks ranging from party-starters and break-up anthems to socially conscious protest songs—all delivered with the band’s signature brass-blasted joy and energy. "The Smashers are in tip-top form, serving up sizzling platters of third-wave ska with a little punk thrown in for rebellion's sake" – Alternative Press
