A nostalgic, stylish jazz act.
The Sazerac Swingers have been recognized as one of the most seminal groups in Germany’s contemporary jazz scene. Their New-Orleans inspired sound and unique approach to audience incorporation has helped them grow a reputation across Europe. Following the release of signature track “We Put the Jazz back in Jazz” (2018), the band became the first German band to play regularly at “Le Caveau de la Huchette” in Paris, the first jazz band to ever perform at “La Peña de la Platería” (Spain), Granada’s sacred halls of flamenco culture, and the first German jazz band to ever win a film award for a music video (“Burly Girls” by James D. Tancill). Their latest release, “Cowboys aus Jazz City” (2024) is the first jazz anthem in German professional football, played regularly at FC Gütersloh’s Heidewald stadium. The Sazerac Swingers are the official house band of the Berlin and Hamburg Burlesque Festivals.
The Sazerac Swingers play high-energy, New Orleans-inspired traditional jazz and vintage swing with a distinct theatrical flair.
Their live performances feature vibrant vintage arrangements and high-energy crowd interaction as the official house band for major European burlesque festivals.
