An underground, nostalgic alternative rock act.
Them Nudes, a transformative group delivering raw edged music derived from the lived experience growing up in the UK during the 90's and early 2000's, a period of intense societal, philosophical and technological change. Their music is expressed through and draws on various aspects of rock n roll and other genres. The songs they produce speak of loss, heartbreak, broken homes, drug & alcohol misuse and a lack of direction but underlying it all there is hope, romance and a sense of humour encapsulated using harmony and melody in familiar but unexpected ways. After a long hiatus the band are back onstage and in the studio with long time friend, collaborator and member of an earlier incarnation, Steve Fuzz, added to the line up. Recent tracks recorded and produced by Matt Allchin (Florence and the Machine, Attawalpa, Sleaze, Too Much) @ The Off Licence SE5 demonstrate that they haven't lost their touch and the band continue to thrill and excite audiences with their live performances. Much like swamp blues artists of days gone by, as a group they firmly see making music as a calling to be honoured until the clock stops ticking. Them Nudes are; Max Smoke – Guitars/Vocals Papa Gus – Bass/Vocals Steve Fuzz - Guitars/Vocals The Kid – Drums/Percussion
