Tonia Richii, daughter to first generation British Caribbean parents and born in 1990. Originally a folk soul singer-songwriter in her adolescence, Tonia began to perform part of a London collective called “Rising Tide” and reach audiences of the O2 Arena, The Jazz Café and Roundhouse Camden. In pursuit of self-exploration and a young dream, Tonia moved to Barcelona city and built blocks for her truer and newer self. Her artistry is recognized for her powerhouse vocals, musicality, elegant movement as well as energetic charisma. Fall of 2023 Tonia featured on hit collaboration cover ‘Brown Baby’ interpreted by The Gramophone Allstars Jamaica Big Band known for their jazzmaica genre and release on Bankrobber Records. Tonia is presidential and defines her original sound as Future Soul. The release of ‘Here I Am’ and ‘We Got Love’ now presents Tonia Richii as an emerging filmmaker and her metamorphosis from aspiring singer into a multi-disciplinary artist, shaping the future of her storytelling and collaborative artistry.
