Tottie

UK born, now LA based – Tottie is a DJ, Musician and co-founder of SOS Music - LA Based record label dedicated to female and non binary electronic artists. A classically trained musician from an early age, Tottie spent her teenage years playing piano and singing in cathedral choirs - all of which had a profound experience in the way she has continued to approach music exploration. Moving to London in 2002 she began digging for records in Deptford market and her fascination for finding obscure dance music began. Tottie, who originally hails from the UK, spent her formative years living in Barcelona. Living there for 7 years the city taught her new languages while simultaneously immersing her into the underground dance music culture. Her experimental, genre-crossing mixes, present a deep sonic exploration of global cultures through past and present dance music. Tottie creates her own language, telling stories through the records she selects that make people dance, laugh, even cry. Since 2017 Tottie has hosted a monthly show on DUBLAB, ‘Across The Pond,’ where she amplifies underground voices and uplifts her local and global communities, and in 2021 started a WWFM monthly show "The Full Friday Service" with her label co-founder and music collaborator Maddy Maia.
