An underground power pop act.
TV Pins are James Schofield, Grace Bailey-Hinks, Duncan O'Neill, Miles Nicholas, and Simon Hudson, a five-piece from London, Wales, Manchester and the West Midlands. Their sound carries echoes of ELO and Supertramp, the warmth of Crowded House, and a streak of British new wave: chiming, harmony-rich pop-rock that Louder Than War called "a heart and a swagger that is all its own." They came together from very different places and paths: a guitarist and drummer who toured the world in the 90s and shared stages with Blur, a bassist who founded one of the most lauded tribute acts going, a frontman who built a name as a Midlands singer-songwriter, and the band's newest member, a keys player and singer from Manchester whose huge personality and live-wire energy brought their new single to life. Their new single "Version of Love" is a Pride anthem celebrating queer joy and every kind of love, romantic, aromantic, all of it, and the simple, defiant idea that every version of love is valid and deserves to be celebrated out loud. Out now.
