Velour Doom

Velour Doom is a dark pop-metal fiction project fronted by Jaren Kretanek, a cinematic alter ego made for songs too real for the one behind him. The music is shaped through human songwriting, lyric work, editing and visual worldbuilding, with AI-assisted vocals and performance tools woven into the artistic form. Jaren is a vessel for confession, desire, guilt, tenderness and survival. The stories may be fictionalized, but the emotional source is human. Fictional doesn’t mean empty. Sometimes illusion is the safest way to tell the truth.
