VILLANELLE

Villanelle brings together Jessica Bellomo and Carmilla Sioux, two artists who spent years building parallel musical paths in different parts of the world, long before they ever met. Both grew up immersed in alternative music and developed their careers across rock, post-punk, synthwave and electronic music, moving through bands, stages, clubs and their own projects before finding their place within the electronic scene. Jessica built much of her career across South America and beyond, becoming closely connected to Italo and alternative electronic sounds. Carmilla came up through the rock and post-punk circuit before bringing that experience into the club, establishing herself within Europe’s alternative scene and founding From Hell to Disco. Their paths eventually crossed in Barcelona, and from that encounter Villanelle emerged: a project built on years of experience and an artistic affinity that existed long before it had a name. Within Villanelle, Wave, Italo, EBM, Electro and Techno meet the raw energy of rock and post-punk, shaping a dark, physical and club-oriented sound that is difficult to confine to a single genre. Villanelle made their live debut at Stella Nomine, sharing the bill with Ductape, Years of Denial and Night in Athens. Since then, the project has begun expanding across the international scene, bringing their two worlds to new stages. Now, Villanelle enters a new chapter with “Infrarosso”, their new single, released on September 10, 2026.
