An underground, high-energy electro house artist.
Forged in the suburbs of Detroit and raised on 80’s music and racing games, Wire One was birthed by Griffin Groninger originally as a throwback progressive house outing in the vain of early pioneers like deadmau5 and Adam K, while still beginning to come to grips with his true love, electro house. With time came skill, and the reverb-heavy plucks of his early work began to slowly fade away, being replaced instead by the distorted basslines and chopped-up sampling of early Justice and other Ed Banger alumni. Wire One’s love of theatricality and atmosphere is equal only to the incredible complexity in every millisecond of his sound design. Few artists can effectively combine the low-fidelity sonic profile of punk, new wave, French house, and more with the production value heard in today’s radio hits. Somehow, he does.
