Witch Post
Witch Post is a band comprised of Scottish musician Dylan Fraser and American musician Alaska Reid. They met by chance, both having solo careers in the music industry but on different sides of the coin. Coincidentally they also discovered that they are from towns of the same name, one in Scotland, one in Montana. Alaska comes from the American indie scene and Dylan from the UK’s alternative scene. Witch Post seeks to reclaim band music. They write songs that honour the wolffish qualities of Scottish Rock n’ Roll & the driving openness of American music. The name Witch Post comes from 17th century carvings in rural England that were crafted to ward off witches. Alaska and Dylan have adopted the name in honour of the witch. Through the craft of songwriting, they explore the fabric of the world & how they feel.
