Hailing from Cardiff and Bristol, their home-stage roots run deep, packing out iconic venues such as The Globe and Thekla. 2025 has been a landmark year for the six-piece, who capped off Noz Stock Festival’s unforgettable final year by closing the main stage on Thursday night, delivering a performance that will go down in festival history. Having just finished their highly anticipated debut album with Abbey Road producer Rob Cass, Year of the Dog continues to prove why they’re one of the most exciting bands to watch. From their early days at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2018 to wowing audiences at Kendal Calling, Cheltenham Jazz, Cardiff LGBTQ+ Pride, and across Europe, this BBC Introducing-backed band is building a reputation that transcends borders.
