Yoel Soto González was born in Havana. He grew up in the city of Cienfuegos, where from a very young age, following his father`s musical path, he laid the foundations for his later artistic career. The bassist, guitarist, composer, bass teacher and poet, after important collaborations and concerts in Cuba and Europe, moved to Athens, Greece, where he collaborates with some of the most known local and international artists like Dimitris Tsakas, Stavros Lantsias, Foivos Delivorias, Lou Vega, Chico Freeman, Adedeji Adetayo, Natassa Bofiliou, Kostis Maraveyas and many more.
Yoel Soto's music blends Cuban folk, jazz, and Greek influences, showcasing his intricate bass work and compositions across vibrant Latin rhythms and introspective Greek-language tracks.
