Roots in Motion
An underground latin jazz night.
Roots in Motion brings together three distinctive musical voices – piano, African percussion and double bass – in a refined yet deeply rhythmic chamber setting. This project explores the migration of rhythm across continents, tracing its path from ancestral African pulses to contemporary improvisation. Through original compositions and guided improvisations, the trio creates an intimate soundscape where tradition and modernity intersect. The dialogue between the instruments reveals shared roots, unexpected textures and a dynamic sense of movement. Designed for the acoustic clarity of Wigmore Hall, Roots in Motion offers a unique blend of subtlety, groove and emotional depth.
