Founded in 2015 by violist Jennifer Stumm, Ilumina is a Sao Paolo-based ensemble dedicated to providing world-class training and performance opportunities for gifted musicians from disadvantaged backgrounds. Based on an organic coffee farm in Brazil, the collective brings a unique energy and commitment to the international stage. Their programme at Wigmore Hall features a diverse array of works ranging from classical masters like Mozart and Dvořák to contemporary pieces by Saariaho and Adès, as well as Brazilian compositions and improvisations.
