Queer Frequencies
An open-air, queer uk funky night.
Queer Frequencies is a weekend celebration dedicated to the sound, legacy, and future of Black queer music culture. The event bridges underground club spaces and grassroots collectives with globally recognized artists who are currently shaping contemporary dance floors. Serving as a vibrant carnival warm-up, it explores the rich history of Black British music while looking forward to what comes next. This event is part of the broader Music is Black Festival by East Bank, an eight-month series of celebrations. The program is led by the creators and collectives who built the legacy of soundsystem culture, featuring Black women and Afrofuturist artists. It highlights the stories and voices that define these movements through live festival weekends and a community-focused cultural program.
