LIM 60 – Konzert und Podiumsgespräch mit Liza Lim
Paul-Lincke-Ufer 29, 10999 Berlin-Bezirk Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg
In this seventh program of its work in progress 51% - Fantastic Music by Women, the Kairos Quartet celebrates the 60th birthday of Australian composer Liza Lim. The program explores the materiality of sound and the poetic power of connections through works by Lim, Daniela Terranova, and Larisa Vrhunc. Lim’s compositions like Weaver’s Knot and String Creatures use complex tonal processes and images of transformation, while Terranova’s Sentire con tatto creates a tactile, breathing sound world. The evening also features Vrhunc’s reinterpretations of Bach, bringing his original affects into a contemporary context.
