Comunidad Sikuris Berlin Opening Ritual
An underground, nostalgic folk night.
Comunidad Sikuris Berlin opens PAN-GEA with traditional Sikuri music and percussion. In the Sikuri tradition, the melody is played collectively: individual musicians play only part of the sequence, so the music only emerges through the interplay of all participants—a musical expression of reciprocity, connectedness, and collective practice. Comunidad Sikuris Berlin is a collective of people from different backgrounds and migration histories who maintain and carry forward the living traditions of Andean cultures. Their practice combines cultural heritage with solidarity, community, and respect for Pachamama (Mother Earth).
