HANE Salon: Ceyhun Kaya feat. Uygur Vural

HANE Salon, a series of live concerts, listening sessions, and culinary interventions, invites you to an evening with multi-instrumentalist Ceyhun Kaya and cellist Uygur Vural. For his first Berlin concert under his own name, Kaya explores a melodic landscape stretching from Anatolia to the Caucasus, performing songs in Turkish with traces of Ladino and Afghan melodies. He is joined by cellist Uygur Vural, who provides both accompaniment and a counter-voice to Kaya’s improvisational style. While the music plays in the cozy foyer of SİNEMA TRANSTOPIA, guests can enjoy meze plates available throughout the event. Kaya’s style connects Middle Eastern and Southeastern European traditions with influences from rebetiko and repetitive minimalism, while Vural is an Antalya-born composer and sound artist known for his work in acoustic ecology.
