Canadian jangle-pop quartet Kiwi Jr. performs live at Rotown with My Purse, showcasing material from their upcoming album. Tickets on Mood.
Canadian indie band Kiwi Jr. brings their jangly guitar-pop to Rotown. Known for their catchy melodies and sharp lyricism reminiscent of Pavement and The Modern Lovers, the Toronto-based quartet has moved beyond their earlier Sub Pop releases to showcase material from their upcoming fourth album. Their live performances are noted for being more energetic and raucous than their laid-back studio recordings, often bordering on a punk-inspired drive that makes their slacker-rock sound surprisingly danceable.
