Pianist Bill Laurance and bassist Michael League, known as musical kindred spirits since their student days and founding members of Snarky Puppy, present their joint duo project. This intimate performance focuses on an internal musical dialogue, featuring Laurance on piano and League on fretless bass guitar and oud. Their band-free approach allows for maximum musical freedom and filigree, detailed sonic landscapes. During their Berlin appearance, the duo will introduce their new album, recorded in April 2026 at Bordeaux's Chateau Palmer. The work emphasizes a pure, organic sound created without extensive technology or overdubbing, blending elements of jazz and soul. The performance showcases League's unique perspective on the oud and Laurance's reduction of piano play to melodies and compact improvisations.
