Ambient music has often been associated with gentleness and comfort, whereas noise is characterized by aggression and loudness. This listening session explores both genres as lying along the same continuum rather than being opposing forces, inviting listeners into oceans of sound. Musician and performer Anthony Kroytor presents a selection of notable ambient, drone, and noise recordings interspersed with live improvisations on synthesizers, harmoniums, and sine wave generators. Anthony Kroytor's audiovisual work reflects on modernity using the language of remix and juxtaposition, informed by his training in philosophy and his experience as a musician.
