Elefant
An open-air, raw experimental night.
A few kilos of metal, instruments, wood, and wool compose "Elefant," an unconventional contemporary circus performance that examines the nature of the circus itself. Balancing quiet reflection with heart-warming comedy, the piece acknowledges that while elephants have left the ring, their gentle giant presence still symbolizes the wonder and scale inherent to the art form. The performance features traditional circus disciplines like trapeze and diabolo alongside live music and expressive movement to create something raw and direct. The three artists aim to provide a sense of deceleration and beauty, offering a performance that is unpolished and alive in the moment.
