Individually, they are among the most prominent musicians of their generation. Together, Isabelle Faust, Jean-Guihen Queyras, and Alexander Melnikov form a trio of rare intensity. Performing on historical instruments, they explore Beethoven's mature piano trios, promising a performance filled with contrast and lyrical expression. Although they do not perform under a specific group name, they have collaborated for years, creating a purposeful artistic unity that The Guardian describes as rare.
