A nostalgic classical piano night.
Russian pianist Dmitry Masleev, winner of the 2015 Tchaikovsky Competition, continues his Rachmaninov cycle this season at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées. For this third recital in the series, he is joined by Polina Osetinskaya to perform a programme dedicated to the composer's works for two pianos. The performance features Rachmaninov's Suite No. 1 and Suite No. 2, concluding with the Symphonic Dances in the composer's own transcription. Masleev's previous French appearances have been met with critical acclaim, including performances at the Philharmonie de Paris and the Festival de La Roque-d'Anthéron.
