LAZ BRUJAZ is an interdisciplinary collective that combines music, dance, and free improvisation. Founded by Vanessa Budai and Mariella Castelo, the project reinterprets the figure of the witch as a symbol of empowerment, resistance, and collective transformation through original compositions and choreography. By blending contemporary jazz with Spanish and Latin American influences and dance-based choreography, LAZ BRUJAZ creates immersive performances. Through collaborations with artists from various disciplines, the collective explores cultural connectedness and collective expression to create futuristic, feminine realities. Currently, the collective is collaborating with Andalusian percussionist Noelia Sánchez. For this performance at Luftschloss, they have invited flamenco dancer Piera Celeste as a special guest.
