A slow-burn, underground classical night.
Konzerthaus Berlin, Gendarmenmarkt 2, 10117 Berlin, Germany
Only five percent of the universe consists of visible particles, with the rest being absolute darkness. This total absence of light is the prerequisite for Georg Friedrich Haas's 'Solstices.' In a pitch-black concert hall, the audience shares an intensive listening experience as ten musicians move towards each other with minimally perceptible pitch changes. The performance creates atmospheric friction and diverse playing situations that build toward a grand sound orgy.
