Jasper Blom & Ben van Gelder: CROSSWORDS
CROSSWORDS is het spannende, nieuwe kwintet van altsaxofonist Ben van Gelder en tenorsaxofonist Jasper Blom. Van Gelders verticale, lyrische composities en Bloms horizontale, onderzoekende stukken wisselen elkaar af. Zo ontstaat transparante muziek zonder akkoordinstrument. Van Gelder staat internationaal bekend om zijn lyrische en persoonlijke benadering van de altsaxofoon, terwijl Blom in 2019 de Boy Edgar Prijs won. Het kwintet wordt gecompleteerd door trompettist Hermon Mehari, bassist Phil Donkin en drummer Wouter Kühne.
