Opening Grachtenfestival 2026
An open-air, nostalgic ragtime night.
The Grachtenfestival Ensemble 2026 kicks off the festival at Valley on the Zuidas. This group of emerging musicians, selected through a collaborative open call with Amarte, will perform a new composition by Artist in Residence Arjan Linker. The piece, based on the Indian raga Patdeep, features a unique arrangement for clarinet, trombone, accordion, percussion, and strings. Following the ensemble, The Fried Seven joined by vocalist Laura Dooge will perform a set of classic jazz repertoire, including works by Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington, alongside their own original arrangements.
