Iki iki Taiko brings the powerful art of Japanese drumming to life with large-scale movements and energetic rhythms. The Berlin-based ensemble showcases a wide range of taiko artistry, combining respect for tradition with modern vitality that vibrates through the air. Mitsune reimagines Japanese folk music by blending traditional sounds with psychedelic, cinematic, and ritual elements. This multicultural quartet features two shamisen players alongside percussion and bass, delivering driven rhythms and expressive folklore. Their acclaimed 2022 album Hazama reached the top of the Transglobal World Music Charts and received a nomination for the German Record Critics' Prize.
