This workshop presents a self-sufficient approach to the acoustic bass, in which rhythm, harmony, and melody are developed simultaneously. Through conscious listening and precise control of time, participants are guided to understand the instrument as a complete musical structure. Techniques and concepts are addressed to articulate low frequencies with clarity, density, and musicality, exploring their application as a transferable foundation for other instruments. The work is driven by musical impulses, sonic intention, and the development of musical feeling, expanding musical autonomy and harmonic awareness. Filipe Moreno is a Brazilian bassist and composer known for expanding the expressive possibilities of the acoustic bass. Blending remarkable technique with deep musical sensitivity, he creates rich soundscapes where melody, rhythm, and harmony emerge from a single instrument.
