Kaya Byinshii is a Rwandan singer, songwriter, and actress based in Kigali. Her music often explores themes of spirituality, love, freedom, and resilience, inspired by Rwandan traditional rhythms. Her recent singles, including “The Life of Champions” and “Folie Douce,” showcase her unique versatility and poetic finesse. Her debut EP, Nyabyinshi (2020), pays tribute to Rwandan spirituality, while her 2022 studio album “Ukwiyuburura” focuses on human transformation. Her work has earned her recognition as a finalist for the Prix Decouvertes RFI in 2021 and 2023.
